
In 2002 the gFFZ implemented a book series that is published by Ulrike Helmer Verlag, Koenigstein.
Printed in irregular succession these books are intended to present research results in Women's and Gender Studies by Universities of Applied Sciences in Hesse.
In addition to the book series the gFFZ publishes the outcomes and results of some of their own research projects in a brochure series .

Many relevant surveys have shown that the willingness to study abroad is higher with female than male students. Furthermore, student mobility is generally higher within those fields of study that contain a larger percentage of female students compared to those where the majority of students are male.

Elderly lesbian women - their life situation and their specific needs for living in old age
There is a blatant absence of empirical data about the situation of aging and elderly lesbian women. This project is designed to shed light on the social structures and way of life of older lesbians, on their experiences with elderly care and discrimination. Furthermore, the study intended to identify specific requirements and desires these women have for their lives in old age.
